Well neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today we're taking a look and installing the Firestone Airride Red Label extreme duty rear air helper springs on a 2024 Ford F-250. This is what our airbags look like when they're installed and it's really nice, they use a lot of brackets here that all bolt together, but there's no drilling required in all of this installation. So really it's not too terribly hard to do. The bags themself are awesome construction. They're double convoluted. more

Before we do that though, let's take a minute. We'll check these out and make sure they're gonna be the right setup for you. So even though these trucks now are super heavy duty, they can handle a ton of weight, people still find themselves needing a little bit of extra support just to help make the ride a little bit better and have some adjustability and things like that. Because when you get to pulling big old trailers around these campers and fifth wheels, goosenecks, so on and so forth, having a suspension enhancement can really go a long way. more

Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2022 Ford F-250 and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the Air Lift LoadLifter 7500 XL Air Helper Springs. Adding Air Helper Springs to the back end of your F-250 is gonna do a couple different things. First and foremost, it's going to add extra support in the rear end of your truck, whenever you're hauling a heavy load in the bed or if you have a trailer behind it that's causing the rear end of your truck to sag, it's going to help add support back to it to bring the truck back up to a level position. Now when using these, you still want to have a little bit of sag from factory ride height because your truck will have rake from the factory that is designed to counteract some of that weight. You will want a little bit of sag, but not, you don't want the back of your truck to be crushed by the weight that you're hauling. more

Air helper springs are going to be airbags that install between the bottom of your frame and the top of your axle. And they're designed to help to carry the rear end of your truck when you've got a heavy load either on the hitch or in the bed of your truck. The nicest part about airbags is that the air pressure is going to be adjustable. So you can adjust the stiffness where there's a lot of other components out there that you can use as rear-end enhancement, suspension enhancement that are not going to be adjustable. more

Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look and installing the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Plus Rear Airbags on a 2017 Ford F-250 Super Duty. Adding airbags to the back of your truck is really nice, because when you have a load that's really heavy or if you have a fifth-wheel or gooseneck that you pull, that truck is gonna wanna sag, and there are some downsides with the sagging. First off, you have a lot of stress that's put on the rear suspension and, honestly, the suspension really can't do a whole lot when it's already maxed out against the jounce bumpers. It also tilts the front of the vehicle up, so you're gonna have less braking, less steering feel. If you've ever had a truck loaded up, you kind of noticed that it gets real light in the steering wheel, and that's not exactly comforting when you're pulling a big load or have a heavy load in the bed. Now, these ones are rated at a 5,000 pound capacity and that's not to say that you're adding 5,000 pounds to what you can tow, but it can support up to that weight. more

Hey everybody, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the Air Lift LoadLifter 7500 air helper springs here on a 2019 Ford F250. So adding air helper springs here to your F250 is gonna be an excellent option if you guys find yourself to do a lot of heavy-duty towing or hauling. So essentially, what our airbags are gonna do is they're gonna be reducing the amount of sag and squat we have at the rear here while we're towing or hauling. Now the reason that's important is that sag/squat not only looks a little bit funky, it's gonna have drastic effects on our vehicle. It could be something as simple as wearing down your factory suspension much sooner or giving you the improper headlight aim shining other motorists in the eyes or not giving us the best view of the road. Those are just some minor things. more

Stability Plus Stabilizer Helper Springs Installation - 2021 Ford F-250 Super Duty- Video
Today, on our 2021 Ford F250, we're gonna be taking a look at the Stability Plus Helper Springs. With the extra suspension components installed, we loaded up a big old water tank, it's about 1500 pounds, and we're gonna take it up on our test courses to see how it does. So, even after that first bump I could definitely feel my truck just being more responsive. It's a little bit tighter, that's why it doesn't just go down and comes back up and kinda rocks. I could definitely feel it. And I have many other loads that are over a lot heavier than this, so this is on the medium setting, so we can either tighten it up, loosen it up. more

Hi there, Ford owners. Today, your 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Air Lift's LoadLifter 5000 air helper springs. And this is what our airbags looks like when they're installed. Your airbag's going take the place of your jounce bumper. The jounce bumper used to sit between the frame and the axle of your vehicle, so when your suspension would come down, before it would bottom out and cause any metal to metal contact, that jounce bumper would take up that space. The jounce bumper really doesn't do much else beyond that, though. more

We're going to be taking a look at the Air Lift Load Lifter XL Air Springs here for our 2016 Ford F-250.Now, in order to show you the benefits our Air Springs are going to have on our F-250 here, we're going to go ahead and take some measurements for you. The measurements we're going to be taking are from the ground to the top inside edge of our wheel well, with the factory suspension, and our truck completely unloaded.So we're going to do this now for the rear, and we're going to get about 41 1/2 inches. Now we're going to head to the front. For the front, we're going to have about 41 inches from the ground to the top inside edge of our wheel well here.Now that we have our factory suspension unloaded, we have those measurements, we're going to go ahead and place a load in the bed of our truck. And we're going to retake our measurements here, to see how much they changed.Keep in mind, we just have the factory suspension. more

Now that they're in place, these are going to help take some of that strain off of our factory suspension. They have a load rating of 5,000 pounds. Now, keep in mind that's not going to increase your truck's weight capacity. It's just going to help your truck handle it better. But it's always a good idea to check with your owner's manual to see how much weight your trunk can take.What sets these apart from many of the other ones on the market is you can use these with gooseneck and fifth wheel hitches. more

Today on our 2017 Ford F250 Super Duty, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Air Lift Load Lifter 5000 Ultimate Air Helper Springs with internal jounce bumpers for the rear axle. Here on our test course you will notice on our left side of our screen as we go over speed bumps with the factory suspension set up under weight, we get a lot of up and down movement, which in turn puts a significant amount of strain on the suspension. On the right side of the screen, you will see the new air bags installed. You will notice as we go over bumps, the air bags will greatly reduce the strain on the factory suspension, while providing a much safer ride, while leveling out your vehicle when loaded and prolonging the life of your factory suspension. Here on our slalom course with our factory setup, you will see a lot of body roll when loaded. With the new air bags installed, the ride feels much more solid and stable, while greatly reducing body roll. more

TorkLift StableLoad Rear Suspension Upgrade Installation - 2017 Ford F-250 Super Duty- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Ford F-250 Super Duty, we're gonna be installing TorkLift's StableLoad Rear Suspension Upgrade, part number TLA7311.These suspension stabilizers work in conjunction with your existing overload springs. Your overload spring is normally designed to provide extra carrying capacity once your vehicle has been loaded up, and your spring comes in contact with that overload spring.We're not gonna get that benefit immediately, so to help reduce that backend sag, we're gonna get that body roll and breaking performance back that we we're losing before because of our suspension alignment change.Having your overloads ring engaged all the time will help stiffen up your rear suspension. This'll help improve handling, because you won't have as much body roll. It'll also help your braking performance, because you're gonna have a more stable rear end, so you're not gonna have so much sag in the back. So when you stop, and you have a heavy load, you're gonna be more in line, and the weight can be properly transferred onto your front tires to have a good stop. 'Cause most of your stopping's done by your front brakes.When going over bumps and potholes, you won't feel those as much, and you won't get so much oscillation between the front and back. more

Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Rear Air Helper Springs Installation - 2017 Ford F-250 Super Duty- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Ford F250 Super Duty, we're going to be installing Airlift's Lift Loader 5,000 air helper springs, part number AL57399. WE've now got our vehicle loaded up with an excessive amount of weight, dropping down our suspension. We're measuring now about 41-1/4 inches. So we're down almost 3-3/4 inches from our factory ride height. And when we come to the front and recheck our measurements, our front is raised up to 42 inches from the factory ride height of 41-1/2.So now that our vehicle's loaded down, and it's changed our ride height, what this means to you is that you're going to have reduced braking power because the weight's not going to transfer to the front as it did in its factory ride height. You're going to have reduced handling performance, because your suspension angles are now different than what they were, due to the ride height change. more

Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs Installation - 2016 Ford F-250- Video
Today on our 2016 Ford F-250 we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Firestone Ride Rite double convoluted air helper springs. These are for the rear axle. Part number is F2535. Now the first thing we're going to do is determine our factory rise height. That's going to be from the ground to the inside top edge of our wheel well opening where we're going to measure. Here on the rear we got about 41 and half and it looks like here in the front we're going to have about 40 and three quarters of an inch. more

Air Lift LoadLifter Air Help Springs Installation - 2015 Ford F-250- Video
Today on our 2015 Ford F-250 Super Duty, we'll be installing the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs, part number AL57396. With our vehicle on flat ground, we'll go ahead and check the ride height measuring from the ground up to the bottom of the wheel well with our stock suspension and no weight added to the vehicle. We're sitting right at 41-3/4 inches. Now, we'll go ahead add approximately 2500 pounds of weight to the bed of our truck. Now with our weight added, the new ride height is right at 38-3/4 inches. We've lost ride at three inches of ground clearance with our weight added. more
